We are honoured to announce and celebrate that we have been recognised as a winner of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2016 - the UK’s highest accolade for business success.
Our award was received for ‘Innovation’. This was in recognition of how our products have improved the businesses of our customers by increasing the transparency of their business, automating tasks and simplifying processes to save them time and money.
“Innovation lies at the heart of our business model and is integral to the way we operate as a company,” says Jacyn Heavens, founder and CEO, Epos Now. “When I started the business five years ago, I’d never have thought that we’d have grown to the point where we’d be recognised as an industry-leader by the Prime Minister and the Queen. Winning this award highlights all the hard work we have put in continuously striving to develop new innovative features to drive the business forward and meet our customers’ needs."
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK’s most prestigious enterprise awards. The innovation award celebrates organisations showing outstanding and/or sustained commercial success over a period of years. The winners are chosen by the Queen, on advice of the Prime Minister. The winners were announced on the Queen's 90th birthday, the 21st of April 2016.
“It is an absolute honour to receive this award from Her Majesty The Queen. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of my staff who have contributed to our innovative product and to our customers for all of their on-going support, custom and loyalty. All businesses need to be tech businesses today and innovative technology is critical to their success. Our own EPOS system enables even the smallest and simplest businesses, like corner shops and cafés, to leverage technology to ‘level the playing field’ against more established businesses providing marketing automation, multi-channel retail and loyalty out of the box. Our customers understand how critical this kind of innovation can be to their long-term success." - Jacyn Heavens - CEO
Jacyn will attend the special awards reception at Buckingham Palace in the summer.
