We are currently looking for a Management Accountant to join our team based in either Norwich or Sheffield. Responsible for all accounting processes and finance reporting for one of our divisions. Control and accountability for stock management processes, security and forecasting.  



  • Production of full monthly management accounts for the division

  • Help prepare the statutory year-end accounts

  • Cost & trend analysis on management accounts

  • Cost centre reporting within regional P&L’s.

  • Produce full balance sheet reconciliations

  • Process accrual and prepayments

  • Manage fixed asset register.

  • Support of annual budgeting and forecasting processes

  • Reconcile intercompany accounts

  • Preparation of cash flow forecasts

  • Help support the other Management Accountant with their month end reporting



  • Process improvement - reviewing processes ensuring maximum effectiveness.

  • Ensuring implementation of Credit Control Policy.

  • Ensure all regulatory requirements are met.

  • Full revenue reconciliation

  • Lead cost control and management across all Epos Now companies. 


Salesforce data:

  • Assist with creating accurate reporting for recurring revenue including customers added, churn, expiration, average revenue per customer, average life cycle.  Create accurate reporting for number of customers, products sold, customer margin.

  • Maintain platform on salesforce for credit card and expenses for staff using app for submission.

  • Monitor and maintain improved stock control process including write offs, stock takes, serial numbers.

  • Full reconciliation of partner revenue channel against expectation.

  • Maintain automated billing process for app partners. 


Measures of Success:

  • Management accounts ready to be reported to the board within 7 calendar days of month end  for full group.

  • Debtor days managed to within 45 days.

  • Internal queries dealt with in a timely manner.

  • Refund dashboard effectively managed and paid on customer expectation

  • Low level of chargebacks X% of card transactions

  • Fraud check dashboard - nothing more than 1 working day aged

  • Ensure key suppliers are paid within terms so that no orders are delayed.

  • All finance team members have role profiles with appropriate KPI’s.

  • Expenses processed from salesforce on a weekly basis

  • All credit cards reconciled on a weekly basis.

  • Invoice queries dealt with in a timely manner

  • Balance sheet reconciliations completed each month alongside management accounts.

  • Maintain 13 week rolling cash flow forecast with 90% accuracy

  • Ensure accuracy of posting in management accounts.

  • Purchase orders matching to invoices is at 80%.


What we’re look for:

  • 3 years+ accountancy experience

  • Qualified / Studying towards an accountancy qualification

  • Excellent experience in Excel to analyse and interpret data

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to be confident and assertive when liaising with management

  • Proactive and effective problem-solving skills

  • Sound judgement for dealing with problems and discrepancies with confidence to correctly escalate concerns if required

  • Confident to come in to the department and hit the ground running
