Denise and Haim (Founders of D’nisi) wanted to set up a new standard of coffee house in Scotland that offered a wonderful range of aromatic espresso based coffees, freshly prepared delicious sandwiches, daily homemade soups, scones and cakes. D’nisi opened their first D’nisi branch in 2004 in Kirkintilloch and they then set out to create a place that you could relax, reflect and rejuvenate in, where families were made welcome. Before making the switch to Epos Now, D’nisi were using another EPoS system, but it was very difficult to manage and use and it was had very limited capabilities. D’nisi continued to expand and currently have five coffee houses across Scotland. The business had ambitious plans to grow and develop further and the EPoS system they were using were holding D’nisi back. As a result, the decision was made to move over to Epos Now.

D’nisi coffee needed a new system that was powerful enough to manage stock and that could facilitate quick and efficient transactions to ensure that peak times at the shops were seamless and able to manage the high footfall. D’nisi Coffee uses Epos Now Hospitality to manage every aspect of their business, including buying, forecasting, collecting customer data and stock control. Ruaridh thinks that the data that can be extracted from the stock and sales reports is excellent. It makes her life much easier and saves time as she doesn’t have to carry out laborious stock takes.

The Epos Now system allows the staff at D’nisi to create accounts for their customer so they can operate their loyalty scheme. The D’nisi cards function in two ways, the first is that it operates as a conventional loyalty card, where points can be accrued for every purchase, which can be redeemed during future visits. This method encourages customer loyalty and boosts the sales. The second use of the loyalty card is that it can be used as a top-up prepay card.

D’nisi serves food so it was important for them that the Epos Now could streamline their order process. Once the customer has placed their order, the system sends it straight through to the kitchen, which saves time and effort for the staff so they can spend less time rushing around and more time with their customers.

Adding the Support facility to their Epos Now account has given D’nisi access to our dedicated UK Support Team and allows them to benefit from remote diagnosis and resolution of technical faults. It also means that the entire business can receive unlimited product training.
