NEW: New Back Office login page redesign improves speed & accessibility
We have made a major update on our Back Office login page to improve the UX, including replacing the old “coffee man” graphic with a clean, minimalistic layout and achieving 100% accessibility coverage.
The changes have also resulted in better load speed for the page.

NEW: Card terminals now automatically fallback to cellular
Epos Now Payments card terminals running the latest firmware version will now automatically switch to cellular if the connected Wi-Fi network loses internet access. This change applies to all card terminals, except for the Link (P400).
There is no action required from merchants — your card terminal will stay online and continue processing payments without interruption. The switch between Wi-Fi and cellular takes around 2.5 seconds.
Please note: The card terminal only switches to cellular when the internet is completely down (not just slow). If you're seeing slow performance, try disabling Wi-Fi to force a cellular connection.

ENHANCEMENT: Offline Mode improvements
We've made several enhancements to improve the experience when using the till offline:
- Improved offline detection: The system now enters and exits offline mode more reliably
- New notification: A pop-up now appears when the till enters offline mode
- Updated troubleshooting page: Easier steps to help you get back online
- Contextual info pop-ups: When viewing Orders or Tabs/Table Plan for the first time offline, a pop-up provides guidance and best practices
- New offline banners:
- Replaces the resync timer on the Table Plan
- Added to the Orders page for better clarity
- Improved navigation handling: Pages that aren't accessible offline are now blocked, preventing users from getting stuck until a connection is restored

MINOR FIXES
- We have resolved an issue where users viewing the transaction report's transaction details on laptop screens experienced excessive blank white space beneath the content. This affected all major browsers and created a poor visual experience. The layout now adjusts correctly to screen size, ensuring a cleaner and more consistent view
- Improvements have been made to automated request and confirmation emails from Epos Now Capital via Adyen in the Epos Now Back Office. This includes clearer messaging on delivery and timelines
- Fixed a defect where GST was labelled incorrectly for New Zealand
- Fixed a defect where receipts were failing to print for merchants in Australia
- Fixed issue where receipts failed to print when credit card surcharging was enabled
- Resolved the issue where customer names on orders were not visible on other device when the orders API was enabled
- Resolved the issue where stock levels for master product stock levels were lowering more than expected
- Switched all multi-factor authentication codes (SMS, email) from alphanumeric to numeric-only, simplifying entry and reducing user errors
- Fixed an issue where navigating to a report via another incorrectly applied US-formatted date/time filters in the URL. This caused reports to return data for the wrong date range. Filters now apply correctly regardless of how the report is accessed
- Resolved a formatting issue where, with the UI language set to UK, the custom date fields in the Back Office were displaying in the US format (MM/DD/YYYY) instead of the expected UK format (DD/MM/YYYY). Dates now display consistently based on the selected UI language
- PSP Reference for payments have been added to the Transaction API
- Fixed an issue with eat-out price not pulling in the correct tax rate
- Fixed an issue where Quick Add on the till fails to display categories when a tax group contains null tax rates
COMING SOON: Next-day payout cut-off time standardization (UK/AU/NZ)
We are updating how standard next-day payouts work in the UK, Australia and New Zealand to ensure that payouts arrive on time.
This means that:
- We will offer a single cut-off time only
- All new and updated accounts will follow a default payout schedule based on your region
