Like many small businesses, ThePostalStore used to manually input their sales data into a spreadsheet each day. This was taking the owner, Douglas Mawditt, hours out of his day. "It was a real pain. I would have to go through the physical end of day receipt, put it into a spreadsheet and then upload it as a CSV file into Quickbooks. It was taking me ages every day."
Douglas was also struggling with team visibility, due to using traditional, outdated tills. He couldn’t see in real-time how well his business was doing or where improvements could be made. "I have shops in different locations and I can't always be there in person to see how they're doing. With the old tills, I couldn't see what was going on unless I physically went into the shop and asked someone. Even then, it was only a snapshot of that day. I couldn't compare it to other days or weeks."
