Online order details now appear on the KDS

Online ordering on KDS

Orders placed through Online ordering channels like Order & Pay, Epos Now Delivery, etc will now display table numbers, order notes, and delivery information directly on the KDS. Having this information handy allows kitchen staff to prepare the takeout or dine-in order correctly to ensure a perfect meal every time.

We received many reports of our barcode scanners not scanning the leading 0 of 13-digit barcodes. Although the issue is not strictly related to the quality of our scanners but rather caused by different types of barcodes containing different information, we have implemented a workaround in our Till app. Please report if after this release you still experience the issue.

In our last release, we informed that Epos Now Payments could be used with any Android commercial tablet. We are happy to inform you that it’s now compatible with the Epos Pocket as well.

Scales can now be connected directly via Serial to the Epos Now C15

Scales that support a serial connection can now be connected directly to our C15W, C15S, and C15Wa POS countertops. There is now no longer a need for USB-Serial adapters. Each of the 2 serial ports on the back of the devices listed above will now have a specific use either scales or Customer Display Poles.

Epos Payments Pro+ now loads the Till by default when opening the Till App, instead of the backoffice

When entering the Epos Now Till app on a Pro+ device, the user was previously prompted with a message asking if they would like to enter the Till by default. Given the nature of the device and its main use case as a portable Point of Sale with integrated payments, we set the behaviour to enter the Till app by default and removed the prompt.
