Epos Now 2.99 Release Notes

Released 26/05/2022

Epos Now Payments receipts can now be tailored to either include payment and purchase information on a single piece of paper (for paper saving) or choose to print payment and purchase information on two separate pieces of paper. Settings for the receipt printing options are configurable within the dedicated Back Office section

You are now able to refund a single product rather than having to refund the entire sum and reselling the wanted items back to the customer on your Epos Now Payment transactions.

App store 2.0

App store 2.0 is finally here!

At Epos Now, we encourage businesses to make their software their own. App Store 2.0 will now make it easier than ever to customise and curate an EPOS system that helps you thrive.

Our new and improved store focuses on customer needs: a straightforward browsing and downloading experience, a wide choice of apps that fit all of your business needs, and easily accessible information about how each app can benefit you.

We want to give our customers the best browsing experience possible. We plan to do that by rolling out the new app store over the next few weeks.

Streamlined navigation

We’ve streamlined the organisation of the app store by adding more detailed categories. Now, you can filter by function, see what’s new, and browse our most popular apps.

If you already know what your favourite apps are, you can navigate quickly by using the new search tool.

More relevant recommendations

Recommended apps are linked to your industry-specific Epos Now software, which means you’ll get more relevant suggestions, and it’s easier to find the integrations that are right for your company.

Improved imagery and appearance

Our app preview pages have been updated with enhanced imagery that demonstrates your chosen app’s UI, features, and functionality. This allows you to preview how each app will look on your system, and get a better understanding of how it’ll work.

We include icon logos for swift identification and key information and benefits of each app to help you find what you need on the go.

We are very excited to confirm that the Home Page is now your default landing page.

The home page will give you access to a number of reporting metrics that can help you gain a better understanding of your business.

The dashboard page remains in the reporting section unchanged.

Loyaltydog update

We have added new features to the EPOS Now LoyaltyDog App.   These are found on the LoyaltyDog Configuration page in the EPOS Now back office. We have grouped this set of functions under the title Rules Management and you get to the dashboard by clicking on the link on the configuration page.

There are three new parts to release.

1) Price Rules, you are now able to allocate a monetary value to the points and allow your Loyalty Customer to use the points as part of full tender at the till.

2) Points Rules, you can now allocate a different number of points for different products or categories of products.

3) Bundle Rule, you can now group together a number of different items and allocate special discount and points allocation conditions when those items are purchased together.

Waiter End of day improvement

The individual staff close shift report on the Till now includes detailed information about all the transactions the staff member has completed. This includes:

  • Date & Time
  • Transaction Barcode Number
  • Order Number
  • Table or Tab Number
  • Total
  • Gratuity
  • Tender
  • Change
  • Customer Name
  • Cash Rounding
Tax image

The Tax Section in the End of day breakdown now includes Net, Tax, Total and Total Percentages.

In some instances, KDS tickets would end up moving intermittently without any input from the Back-of-house staff member. This was caused due to instances where the ticket sequence was updated inadvertently.
