Head of Site Reliability
Role Purpose
As a direct report of the CTO, the expectation is for a Head Of to drive the company culture throughout their reports, wholly own the technology stack, inclusive of any areas that you identify that do not have clear ownership, until said ownership is agreed.
- Owns SRE architecture and non-functional requirements, ensuring they fit into a cohesive vision aligned with the rest of Technology.
- Responsible for ensuring SRE aligns with Product Development are delivering value which helps Product Development run reliable services quicker.
- Performance Manages SRE, with respect to the quality, frequency and value of their contributions.
- Owns SRE voice on Tech Radar, ensuring that technology choices help best meet the needs of the business.
- Runs common infrastructure that’ll help the rest of the business deliver value.
Accountibilities

Success Measures
- Respective SREs are executing on Product Development initiatives that have been validated against KPIs.
- Able to use said KPIs to articulate the value and level of subordinate Engineers.
- SRE ran services meet Non-Functional requirements from other Technical Departments, including but not limited to QA and Product Development.
- Creates modules to help better meet SRE NFRs.
In practical terms, SRE should support Product Development providing customer value.
